Replay Coach reviews Fortnite replay files that you upload. This page says what we collect when you use it, why, who else handles it and how to delete it. "We" means Replay Coach.

What we collect

  • Your account. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, your email address and Google's ID number for your account. We never see your Google password.
  • Your matches. For each replay you upload we keep the worked-out match (positions, fights, storm circles, health and results) and the coaching written for it, so you can open it again.
  • Other players in your matches. A replay records everyone your game saw. The match we keep therefore includes other players' in-game names, positions and fights. We use this only to show you your own match.
  • Your subscription. If you subscribe, we keep the IDs that Stripe, our payment company, gives you as a customer and gives your subscription, whether the subscription is active, and the date it renews or ends.
  • A usage count. How many free reviews and uploads your Google account has used, and when. It is kept against a one-way scrambled code made from your Google ID, which cannot be turned back into your account.
  • Steps on the upload page. While you are signed in, we note which steps of the My matches page you reach (opening it, clicking the upload box, choosing a file, asking for the PC link by email) and whether the screen was a phone, with the time. This shows us where uploads get stuck. It is deleted with your account.
  • Basic server records. Like any website, the servers record requests: the time, the page asked for and the internet address it came from. These are used to keep the site running and to stop abuse.

What we do not keep

  • The replay file. It is deleted from the server as soon as it has been read, whether or not the review worked.
  • Card details. Payments are taken by Stripe on its own payment page. Your card number goes straight to Stripe and never reaches our servers.

Cookies

The site sets one cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days, and a second one for a few minutes while you sign in with Google. There are no advertising or tracking cookies and no analytics scripts.

Who else handles your data

  • Google runs the sign-in and hosts the site on Google Cloud. The pages also load their fonts from Google, which means Google sees your internet address when a page loads.
  • Neon hosts the database where accounts and matches are stored.
  • Stripe takes subscription payments. It receives your email address, our account number for you, and the card and billing details you enter on its payment page. It keeps its own records of payments as the law requires.
  • Resend sends the one email we send: the link you ask for with the "Email me a link for my PC" button. It receives your email address and the email itself. We send no other emails.
  • Anthropic runs the AI model that writes the coaching. For each review we send it a summary of the match: times, places, damage numbers and the in-game names of you and the players you fought. Your email address and Google name are not sent.

These companies handle the data on our behalf, on servers in the United States. We do not sell your data and we do not share it with anyone for advertising.

How long we keep it

  • Your account and matches stay until you delete them.
  • When you delete a match or your account from the My matches page, it is removed from our database straight away. Copies may remain in the database provider's backups for a short time before they expire.
  • The usage count is the one thing kept after you delete your account, so the free review cannot be claimed again by deleting and signing back in.
  • Deleting your account cancels your subscription, removes what we hold about it and asks Stripe to delete you as a customer along with your saved card. Stripe keeps its own payment records for as long as the law requires.

Your choices

  • Delete a match or delete your whole account at any time from the My matches page.
  • Ask for a copy of what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or remove something, by contacting us. Depending on where you live you may have further rights over your data under local law, and we will honour them.
  • If you appear in someone else's match and want your in-game name removed from it, contact us with the name and we will look into it.

Children

Replay Coach is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child under 13 has made an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection, sign-in is handled by Google, and each match can only be opened by the account that uploaded it. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise that nothing will ever go wrong.

Changes

If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and the date at the top. For a significant change we will also say so on the site.
