Replay files
Which replay files work?
Fortnite .replay files from Battle Royale and Reload matches, up to 80 MB. On PC they are saved in %LOCALAPPDATA%\FortniteGame\Saved\Demos.
The site has been tested with replay files saved by the PC game.
My Demos folder is empty
Replay recording is probably off. In Fortnite, open Settings, go to the Game tab, scroll to the bottom and turn on recording in the Replays section. Matches you play after that are saved. Matches played before it was on were not recorded.
The Get your replay page has the steps.
Can I upload from my phone or console?
Not yet. Replay files are only reachable on a PC, so uploads work from a PC. You can still open your reviews on your phone once they are done.
Which modes and maps are supported?
Battle Royale on the main island, and Reload. Solo and team matches both work, including tournament games.
Creative maps are not supported.
Whose match is it reviewing?
The player who recorded the replay. A replay only records other players while they were close enough for that player's game to see them, so the review is about you, with everyone else as context.
Will it work right after a Fortnite update?
Usually, but a big update can change the replay format or the map. If a replay cannot be read, it is turned away with a message and your free review is not used. When the map changes, the site checks the replay against the map pictures it has and falls back to a plain grid if none fits.
The review
How does the review work?
The replay file is read into positions, hits, health and storm circles. Rules pick out the key moments and measure them. An AI model then writes the coaching from those measurements and a written playbook, and a checker looks up the numbers and clock times in that coaching and rejects notes that do not match the replay.
Is the coaching written by AI?
Yes. The facts come from the replay and are worked out by rules. The wording and the verdicts are written by an AI model, which is told to coach from a written playbook for competitive play. Its numbers and clock times are then checked against the facts.
The check does not catch everything. The coaching can still be wrong or miss context, so treat it as a second opinion to watch against the replay.
What do the verdicts mean?
Good play you did what the playbook asks, or won the exchange cleanly.
Mistake a playbook rule was broken and it cost you. The note says which rule and what it asks.
Unlucky it went badly, but it could not really be avoided.
Fine by the plan it looks costly on paper, but it is a valid plan. Time in the storm is the usual one.
Mixed some of each.
What can it not see?
The review does not read builds, edits, aim or mat counts from the replay, and a replay has no sound, so none of those are judged. Other players' health is an estimate from the hits the replay recorded. Where it cannot tell, the coaching says so and points you to the moment to check yourself.
How long does it take?
About a minute for most matches. Reading the replay takes a few seconds and writing the coaching takes most of the rest. Reviews run one at a time, so there can be a short wait when several people upload at once.
Pricing and billing
What do I get for free?
Every account gets one free review: the full top-down replay, highlights and coaching, with no card needed. A replay that cannot be read or is not supported does not use it up.
How much is the subscription?
It will be $9.99 per month. Subscriptions are not open yet, so nothing is charged today. What is included and how to cancel will be shown before you pay.
Can I cancel any time?
Nothing is being charged today, so there is nothing to cancel. The cancellation terms will be published with the subscription, before anyone is asked to pay.
Account and privacy
How do I sign in?
With a Google account. The site receives your name, email address and Google's ID for your account. It never sees your Google password.
What happens to my replay file?
It is deleted from the server as soon as it has been read, whether or not the review worked. What is kept is the worked-out match and the coaching, so you can open them again.
Are other players in my review?
Yes. A replay records everyone your game saw, so your match page shows other players' in-game names and what they did near you. Only you can open your match pages. More detail is on the privacy page.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. You can delete any match, or your whole account with everything in it, from the My matches page. It is removed from the database straight away, though copies can stay in the database provider's backups for a short time.
One thing is kept after you delete your account: a scrambled record of how many free reviews it used, so the free review cannot be claimed twice. The privacy page has the details.
Troubleshooting
It says my replay is not supported
That message appears for Creative map matches and for replays that stop before the match gets going. Neither uses your free review.
It says my replay could not be read
The file may be damaged, cut short, or from a game version the site has not caught up with yet. Try a different match. If recent replays keep failing right after a game update, the reader needs updating.
My match has no coaching
Sometimes the replay is read fine but the coaching step fails. The match page still works, the match is marked "No coaching" in your list, and your free review is not used.
The upload did not go through
Check your connection and try again. Files are sent in small pieces, so a dropped connection part-way means starting that file again. There is a limit of 12 upload attempts per account per day on the free plan.
No question matches that search. Try a different word, or clear the box.
The quickest answer is a review
